The Brutal Telling

These set pieces were designed for a dance performance portraying the life of Emily Carr, renowned BC painter and writer. A collection of wooden suitcases transformed into furniture, lights and props which were housed in a steel cart (the rib cage) for easy transport. The cart became both carrier and set piece; a reference to Carr’s mobile home.”The Brutal Telling” has been performed across Canada, the US, and at major dance festivals in Europe and Great Britain.
