We are currently designing a system of suspended lighting for 2 blocks of Alberni Street, in downtown Vancouver. As this street is emerging as a luxury shopping mecca in the city, the lights are meant to distinguish it from all others in the downtown peninsula.
The rings evoke jewelry, on one level, and humorously suggest that a visiting colony of extraterrestrials have decided to spend their shopping dollars here.
