The Goldberg

Mobiles of translucent planets, telescopes large and small, and sieves on long sticks form the elements for this full length ballet, set to Glenn Gould recordings of Bach’s “Goldberg Variations”.

The dancers are placed in gravitational and anti-gravitational relationships to these elements; sometimes even suspended in mid-air. They occupy not only the stage, but sit in large and small chairs, on the ground and in the sky.
