X-Ray Vanity

A syntactical inversion of two meanings of “vanity”, this installation transforms quotidian bathroom objects—toothbrush, floss container, comb, pharmaceutical container—into an ever-shifting playground of silhouetted objects. Backlit, these ubiquitous objects are re-seen as beautiful and strange. The glowing cabinet transforms the bathroom into a futuristic mermaid’s lair during bathtime.
